Like its cheaper cousin the standard Cheness Non-sharpened Iaito, the Delux hand forged, hand polished and features a full length nakago (tang) and double mekugi (retaining pins) making it perfect for the iaido student on a budget (and also quite suitable for stage and film purposes).

Where it is different is that the ito wrap has less stretch and feels tighter, making it perfect for frequent dojo usage - and it also has a much stronger, more solid tsuba than the alloy one the standard budget iaito (not to mention, the black same and brown ito combination of the Deluxe is extremely eye pleasing).

With a bo-hi (fuller) as standard, the blade is much closer in weight and handling to a real Katana than most other iaito on the market - and has a very loud and impressive Tachi-Kaze ('Sword-Wind-Sound') when swung at the ideal trajectory, making it an invaluable training tool to develop accurate and fast techniques.

Though blunted to reduce the risk of injuries (except for the kissaki tip, which is traditionally sharp), iaito can still be very dangerous and should be handled with the respect due to a live blade. Blades available in custom lengths of 27", 28" and 29".
