Besides from using only the finest quality virgin T10 tool steel, solid brass or iron fittings (depending on the model) and assembling each sword with a level of attention to detail usually only found on swords two or three times the price - each sword is subject to three levels of quality control - one by the workers who hand forge and assembled the components, one by the forges head smith, and then personally by my friend in Canada who made the project possible in the first place - who goes over each sword ensuring that it is free from all defects, including:

• An even level of sharpness along the length of the blade

• Every blade as straight as an arrow, with no lateral bends or twists

• Blade free of blemishes, rust spots or chipping

• Tight saya with properly fit Koiguchi

• Properly aligned habaki/blade interface

• Properly assembled fittings (no rattles, shakes or movement in the tsuka)

• Well made, uncracked tsuka properly friction fitted to the blade

In short, each sword is GUARANTEED to be of the same quality as those shown in the review, ready to perform straight out of the box with no tweaking, remounting, sharpening or fiddling necessary or it can be shipped back to us at OUR expense for a 100% refund or replacement.*

* Excludes shipping damages, which we will claim against the shipper and either provide an exchange or full refund once the claim is settled (whichever you would prefer). As each sword is heavily encased in several layers of bubble wrap, the chances of shipping damage are highly unlikely, but are covered by a slightly different procedure. Either way, we will find a satisfactory outcome for you.
