Based on a sketch on page 121-122 of Ewart Oakeshotts ‘Records of the Medieval Sword’, though with a slightly longer and more ornately finished handle and a single central fuller (the original is double fullered), the Black Knight’s unique jet black blade and fittings are created by a process known as ‘blueing’.
One of Darkswords most striking pieces to date (and a blade that certainly fits their name!) it is not recommended that this sword be sharpened or used excessively for steel on steel contact in order to keep the pristine black blade in the best condition possible.
