Darksword Medieval and Fantasy
Established in 1996 – Darksword Armoury medieval and ancient swords are all Hand forged in CANADA by skilled artisan and historian Eyal Azerad and his team of 6 smiths.
These 1060 carbon steel blades, tempered to a HRC of 53 are designed for the rigours of hard core steel on steel sword training and re-enactment. Below you will find a hand picked selection of their blades that are without a doubt the most durable medieval ‘beaters’ available at this price point.
While they are shipped with a 1.4 dull edge, they can easily be sharpened up using the simple methods shown in my test to destruction review of these blades (or sharpened by DSA before shipping for $25-$30: select in the checkout) – but once sharpened, are hard enough to hold a good edge for a VERY long time indeed.
Some selected swords also come with an optional scabbard and sword belt upgrade option for $70 (pictured below).

A NOTE FROM PAUL: I loved them when I first saw them, but oh my have these swords improved over the last couple of years, and they just keep getting better and better!Now with highly polished blades, peened pommels, leather of cord riser wrapped handles and attractive, slim profile wood core scabbards - the value for money you get with a DSA sword really does have to be seen to be believed...
And perhaps best of all, unlike all the other swords here at SBG, they are hand made in North America - and have been since 1996...!
