Shobu Zukuri - "Kurome" 9260 Spring Steel

FREE SHIPPING IN THE USA

The more popular and common configuration of the Shobu Zukuri (leaf like tip) Katana – the Kurome (lit. Black Eyes, from the distinctive design of the Tsuba) is a unique blade designed primarily for cutting – both as a normal Katana and with ultra fast, deep slicing tip strokes.

While the tip is more delicate than that of the other Cheness 9260 swords, it also penetrates softer targets deeper and is extremely attractive.

The dyed black authentic same (Ray skin) handle wrap, tight brown ito wrap and the detailed Kurome tsuba make for a very beautiful sword of a style that was popular in the 13th and 14th centuries, and quite similar in blade profile to the Korean Jingum – making it an economical choice for the Haidong Gumdo practitioner.
