Ok, deep breath - I'm literally extremely excited to be able to bring this deal to you because it's not the kind of thing you stumble upon every day..

These swords are of a quality that is rarely seen these days. They are made by a husband and wife team of smiths - a young couple who fell in love while serving their apprenticeship under a well known Longquan Master, who raised them as his own and helped them get started..

Since then, with no website, no direct sales, no factory, and not a power tool in sight - they have been quietly and lovingly making blades like this for decades - and with their only overheads being their tiny workshop and the steel itself, this modest couple - a true 'Mom and Pop' offered to sell their amazing blades to us at an unbelievably low price..

No doubt a less scrupulous sword seller could have taken this base price and sold them for $1,000+ and made a killing. But that's not the way SBG operates - we want to be able to get these blades into the hands of people who normally cannot afford such an elite level blade, so we are selling them as is - in traditional Shirasaya housing at a price that almost any collector can swing.

But a word of caution - these blades are serious business - Chris at Ronin Katana who is warehousing them for us noted the following:

"The hammer forged line arrived today. 10 folded 1095 with bo-hi (classic wave hammon) and 10 1095 with choji. Super crisp lines. I mean really crisp. Blades are crazy sharp. By that I mean dangerous to handle sharp."

This is especially important to note as because they are in Shirasaya with no hand guard to protect your fingers, one slip and your fingers will be on the floor..

We could have mounted them up with a fancy fittings and sold them for well over a thousand dollars. But we are selling the naked blades raw - so be careful. We will not accept any responsibility for misuse of these swords. You have been warned...
