SOLD OUT AND NO LONGER AVAILABLE
Ultra Durable 9260 Spring Steel Blade. Now on Close Out, Below Wholesale Pricing.
Someone at the forge didn’t get a memo or receive an email because these aren’t the specs we’re looking for on these swords. Nonetheless, this first production run will soon become collectors items because we aren’t making them like this ever again!
Originally designed by Gus Trim, the basic shape and style of the sword is correct. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with the ultra durable 9260 Spring Steel blades..
But the first error was that the leather of the handle was black instead of reddish brown. Not a deal killer for Gus, but putting the wrong pommels on the wrong swords did bother him, as it changed the balance and handling characteristics. But what made these swords fail QC, and why they are on such a huge discount, comes primarily from the weight and stats - the blade is 1/2" too short, weighs 5oz more than the design specs, and balances 3/4" further towards the tip than it should have.. Not a big deal for most collectors, but a big deal for Gus. And now - a great deal for you..
In all other respects, this is a fine sword - and with so few now available - is indeed becoming something of a collectors item.
Black leather wrapped handles and a wood core, thru-peened stainless steel pommel and guard. The 9260 Spring Steel forged blade features a typical Type XIV shape with a long fuller and mirror polish finish. This sword comes with a wood core leather wrapped scabbard with stainless steel chape for safe and secure carry.
