LIMITED EDITION - NOW WITH CUSTOMIZATION OPTION!

The 2.45 shaku (29") hand forged and polished blade is made from high quality T-10 High Speed Tool Steel, chosen because of its relative tensile strength and scratch resistent properties (HRC 58-62 on the edge and 54-56 on the spine) and has a bo-hi (fuller) to lighten and balance the it to achieve optimal performance, though the current custom option also allows you to choose a solid bodied blade without bo-hi to enhance its strength and cutting power.

The blade has a full length nakago (tang) and is differentially hardened with a natural hamon. It also has a sharper blade than the basic Kuramono Katana, with a sueprior 12 step polishing process applied instead of the traditional 10 step process.

The brass habaki is carefully fitted to the blade, which fits perfectly into a textured black saya with extra thick and hard wearing brown sageo (though you can select another sageo color).

The tsuba is made of solid brass, depicting two tigers stalking through a bamboo jungle.

The tsuka is 11" long and perfectly friction fitted to the blade and secured with two top quality bamboo mekugi.

The tsuka is extremely tightly wrapped (in the correct, alternating style) over real black rayskin with high quality brown synthetic silk ito as default that is actually TOUGHER wearing than REAL silk (but from an aesthetic sense is virtually indistinguishable from the real thing).
With the current custom option, you can select your own ito style and color as suits your personal taste.
The tsuka assembly has high quality solid brass, silvered menuki ornaments, depicting a dragon.
Made for both performance, aesthetics and durability - this is a Katana built to stand the tests of time.

Or if you would prefer a standard (stronger and heavier) non fullered blade:
Choose the Ito Wrap
Now it's time to select a choice of Ito (handle) to make modify the Torakami to suit how you want it to look. There are 14 different colors of synthetic silk ito (almost indistinguishable from the real thing) to choose from, leather or high quality cotton. You can also decide if you want to have natural white rayskin or have it dyed black to contrast your choice.
SYNTHETIC SILK ITO
COTTON AND LEATHER ITO
ADD SAGEO
Then choose a sageo cord color (the sageo is the cord tied around the saya and used to fasten the sword to the obi/belt).
