A more historical version of a Saxon sword than the Wasp Waisted model – the straight bladed Saxon sword features a leather wrapped handle and slightly longer 31” blade. This powerfully evocative sword, which is very similar to several Viking designs from around the same period, is one of Darkswords newest creations. While at 3lbs 10 oz it is very heavy for a single handed sword, the point of balance at 4.75” makes it surprisingly agile and capable of delivering unstoppably powerful blows.
