Batch 37 Update – SBG Custom Katana

While orders remain closed as we try to catch up on a backlog of orders on Batch 37 and Batch 38 of the SBG Custom Katana (an email update to all customers is being written at the same time as this Blog Post) – I thought I would share a pic of a few swords in the final stages of completion from batch 37 that the forge took a couple of weeks ago.

We will update the status page as we go, so please bear with us – unfortunately delays are part and parcel of any custom sword project, but they are frustrating and stressful to deal with and rest assured – we are doing our best to minimize the delay without compromising quality.

We will update you all again soon.

Kingston Arms – Atrim NOW in Stock (but not for long)..

We posted about these a couple of weeks ago – but the time has come, and a handful are finally in stock..

There is no pre-ordering necessary, which has often been a problem with Atrim swords in the past with some customers waiting several years for their order to come in. But here they are, in stock and ready to ship – but there are so few available that they won’t be there for long.

So this is a limited chance to own a bit of serious modern day sword history and get your own Atrim – on sale and shipped free in the USA – but only while stocks last..

Last of the Dragon Dao – Project X

Just a quick post, as the Dragon Dao is a very high end, rather specialized sword – but if it is calling to you, you don’t need me to say much more than two Dragon Dao are now in stock in Texas and ready to ship out.

Once they are sold, that is it for 2016 – so if one has your name on it, don’t miss out..

Project X Japanese swords will be available in a couple of weeks – currently we are concentrating on shipping out the pre-orders and once they are all shipped, will offer the remaining stocked swords for sale accordingly.

We will update you all again soon.

Brand New – Dragon King T10 Tool Steel Katana Series..!

The Stunning Real Hamon of these New T10 Blades

The Stunning Real Hamon of these New T10 Blades

Esteemed Artisan Frenchie Jin has done it again with a new range of stunning T10 Differentially Hardened Katana from Dragon King.

There are four new swords in the line up, three of which have extremely unique and ornate themed fittings, and a budget version that strips away the fittings to the basics but focuses only on the blade, catering to both those who want a truly unique and beautiful sword and those who just want a really great and fully functional, traditionally styled cutter.

The first of the four blades is without doubt the meanest, and that is the “Shi” (Death) Katana. With all black fittings, triple skull themed menuki and a skull tsuba, they describe it as:

“Powerful, foreboding and deadly sharp, the Shi Katana possesses a thirsty blade and its owner must be one who can harness the power wisely.”

The second in the series is a Katana fit for a Daimyo, and pays tribute to the great Oda Nobunaga, the Daimyo who united Japan and became the first great Shogun.

The third is designed for a “modest Samurai” and is described as a:

simple yet most powerful katana motif in the Kohaku Katana. The koi kohaku (carp) battles up the rivers and climbs up waterfalls to reach its destiny which speaks to the symbolism of overcoming all adversity to achieve your goals.

And finally, they offer a true budget version – with simple steel fittings but the same stunning blade as the previous 3 swords, the “Hana” Katana..
