Cheness Cutlery 9260 Monotempered
Designed specifically for frequent test cutting (tameshigiri) against traditional targets such as Tatami Omote (Goza) and occasional cutting of other medium-hard targets such as 3"+ bamboo and beyond, Cheness Cutlery have established a reputation for their exceptionally durable and well made blades (in cosmetically rather bland, but functional, fittings).
All the swords in this category are monotempered and through hardened, so they flex like a medieval sword and due to the inherent properties of 9260 Spring Steel, are well known for being exceptionally durable, making them ideal for HEAVY cutting and frequent use. Because these swords are designed for Dojos and experienced sword students, some adjustment and refinements may be necessary out of the box.
