"ART SHOULD HURT"

A premium sword from the Art Swords series, this is a unique and very cool looking blade with a sharpened edge and viscous ridge like spine, formed from hammering the folded mix of 1045 and 1060 carbon steel to create a practical and very stylish effect.

As noted, the blade is formed by taking a billet of 1045 carbon steel and a billet of 1060 carbon steel and folding them together to create a very prominent 'hada' pattern. The blade is then mounted in bronze fittings (tsuba, fuchigashira, seppa - heck, even the habaki is bronze!) with a stylized Oni Warrior theme. It is completed with a glossy black saya speckled with white to give it a pebbled appearance.

All in all, it is a modern sword design for those who appreciate something with more flair than the standard Shinogi Zukuri Katana and is truly a piece of contemporary, fully functional, sword art.

How to Use

Primarily designed for display, but has a functional 1060 carbon steel blade so can be used for light backyard cutting.
