This fully functional Fantasy sword is made for the Legendary Swords Fantasy Sword Project by Master Ye "Michael" Jie, a certified rank 1 master smith recognized and smithing swords at his family forge in the ancient city of Longquan, Zhejiang province. In the Legendary Swords mythos, this is one of 100 swords that were forged 800 years ago for the Holy order of the Sky Templars, powerful warrior monks who ride loyal and trained Griffin mounts into combat.

Hand forged from 1060 carbon steel, it is professionally folded to produce a stunning Damascus pattern and then polished to bring out the rich details.

The 28" long blade features a rare and unique Octagonal cross section profile, with a raised central rib that drops down on both sides of the double edged blade to form a keen cutting surface. Combined with the wide blade, it has a slight emphasis on the cut but is no slouch in the thrust, with all 8 angles coming together perfectly at the tip to reinforce its thrusting ability and overall structural integrity.

Fittings are cast from solid brass with a royal eagle head pommel and unique crossguard similar to a medieval Oakeshott type 11 pommel. The 7.5" black ebony wood handle is long enough to be grasped with both hands, the left hand secured by the curved beak of the brass eagle head - though weighing 2.64lbs with a point of balance approximately 6" from the cross guard - is a true bastard sword, capable of being wielded in one hand but comes alive when the second hand is put into play. Includes an 'East Meets West' themed Chinese scabbard made from premium quality rosewood, bound with black cord and capped off with an ornate brass chape.

Do not be fooled by cheap and nasty imitations, this sword is the real deal. Almost never seen out of China due to the uncertain market demand and high expense of production. FD Sky Templar Sword (discontinued)
Eagle Pommel Precision
Far past remorse, beyond satisfaction, I'm experiencing buyer's elation an hour after opening this enchanting sword.

The brass eagle head pommel affords an excellent precision of movement, my left thumb loves sliding into the beak-facing-upwards downwards chop, with other fingers naturally playing off other directions.

The quality is superb and exudes soul such that I want the smith/forge to know that I will be taking the best care of it and the matching gladius. They are both fantasy blades and they both produce a magical feeling to behold and be held.

**Furthermore, Sword Buyers Guide provided excellent customer service in overcoming an address error that I'm tempted to blame on robots, but the robots are watching, made on my end**
