While it is a bit behind schedule – the good news is that Project X Japanese has cleared customs and is now on the way from LA to Texas..!<\/p>\n

It will still be another week or two before they come in, the pre-orders are inspected and shipped out to their patient (and rather lucky) new owners..<\/p>\n

And\u00a0a around a month\u00a0before these awesome, Mastersmith forged blades are briefly available to the general sword buying public. But\u00a0anyone who owns one will attest that they are worth the wait.\u00a0Indeed,\u00a0you may well need to wait a year or more for another chance (if you check the Project X page<\/a> and scroll down to the\u00a0timeline on the main site, you will see the last time they were offered was – Jan 2013, 2 and 1\/2 years ago!).<\/p>\n

These will be a STRICTLY LIMITED quantity as the cost of making a Wakizashi is about the same as making a full length Katana! (this is normal, which is why there are so few Wakizashi on the market – the amount of materials and labour is almost identical!).<\/p>\n
