The Chokuto proto sword was an early East Asian sword design that was exported from China into Japan and Korea circa 618-690AD. The classic "Ninjato" seen in Hollywood blockbusters has its earliest genesis in this exotic blade, and this example features many design elements such as full rayskin wrap on the handle and a classic chisel tip (Kamasu Kissaki) with real hamon (called "Frost Snow" in Chinese) that were to later evolve and become central elements to the Japanese Katana.
This luxurious, historically accurate representation is almost never seen out of China due to the uncertain market demand and high expense of production. However, with Forge Direct, you have a rare opportunity to order one of your own with FREE worldwide shipping right here at the SBG Sword Store!
Amazingly light and well balanced, own a piece of East Asian history with this unique hybrid design.
