X Archive - Project X - The Windsteel Jian
Be the first one to write a reviewSOLD OUT & DISCONTINUED
Rare 'Windsteel' (also known as Feathersteel) blade based on a classic Han Dynasty Jian.
This is a rare opportunity to own a Master Smith made sword forged with a very rare technique that few masters can actually make, even in China.
The blade is differentially hardened on both edges with a technique that creates a fine, windswept, feather like appearance (hence the name). This Han Dynasty Jians blade is mounted to the rosewood handle with a peg in the traditional manner and then wrapped so it cannot be diassembled without undoing the wrap and yet is surprisingly durable (one of these was destruction tested and survived everything thrown at it, up to and including a wooden shield).
The fittings are brass and depict the 5 animals of Chinese mythology - the Dragon, the Turtle, the Phoenix, the Tiger and the Snake at different locations.
Unlike many other Project X Chinese swords, this blade is NOT a pre-order and available for immediate delivery.
Don't miss out, most Project X designs are one offs, this isn't a repeat design you will see time and time again.. (due to the time and complexity to make these swords, it is unlikely to be offered again).
Luxurious quality with a magnificent cutting blade. Project X Chinese.
