The barbeque is over, and the landscape is laid waste in nuclear fire. Foraging in vegetation and harvesting wildlife are scarce. Your provisions are few because normalcy bias left you unprepared. Your stomach pangs are as sharp as the knife sheathed on your pack. You draw your APOC Chop House knife and stalk the only prey you can find.
The 12 ¾” Dao shaped blade longs to perform our designed function: chopping. At 5.5mm thick this black anodized coated blade gives as much as it can take. The full tang 4 5/8” contoured handle grips comfortably and securely with the milled G10 slabs. At 18” overall length and 1 lbs. 4oz the APOC Chop House knife butchers your target and not your fortitude. You draw your knife silently from your Kydex, Molle compatible sheath approaching your two legged prey while thinking .. looks like meat is back on the menu boys.

I actually nearly didnt buy this sword because of the description. The whole cannibalism backstory is horrible marketing. But some friends and I took this one camping, butchered a deer carcass with ease. Bit expensive for what it is, but it cut a LOT of bone that night and all it needed was a spray of WD40 a wipedown and you would not have been able to tell.
Value is clearly in the 9260 spring steel - if it was a different steel the design itself isn't really worth the price tag.
Our responseYou pretty much nailed it right on the head there Raymond. The value IS in the 9260 Spring Steel and the materials used generally. 9260 is very hard steel to harden and temper correctly, just getting a blade to come out not looking like a pretzel takes a lot of experience and a whole lot of trial and error. But with a blade this length and a steel that durable, this is one butchers knife that could cut its way out of hell and back..

Received the APOC Chop House today. Completely underwhelmed. Totally disappointed. I was expecting something massive but when I opened the box the first thing I noticed was the small handle in a big wide sheath. When I removed the knife from the kydex, the feel of the handle was small. Made for a child I thought. Blade width is thin. I expected something wider, beefier. Sharpness was OK but felt a burr so that needs to get fixed. Grind lines uneven. I tell you for the price you pay one would expect WAY more. Skip this one.
Our responseWithout a reference pic with it in someones' hands, I can see how it is relatively easy to overestimate its size - but stats are included with every blade, and this one clearly states that the handle is 4.5" long and the blade 12.75". The unusual concept behind this one is a bit, er, off-putting in many ways as it is essentially making it out as an almost unbreakable Cannibal Butchers Knife from Hell.. Regardless of the reason though, we stand behind our products and our return policy on non custom made items is available here should you decide to put it back in the box straight away and send it back. Probably the better features of this knife is the steel used (monotempered 9260 Spring Steel) and the way it is fused together with no 'moving parts' creating the most overkill durable Butchers Knife around in this price range - but fair review, it is not for everyone.
