These Generation 2/Legacy Arms blades are made of strong high carbon steel with a full tang. The handle is wooden with a stainless steel twisted wire wrapping. The cross guard and pommel are made of solid brass, then highly polished.
A hardwood scabbard wrapped in leather with brass accents is included.

The tempering is designed to provide a harder edge and softer, shock resistant core so that the sword will bend or deform rather than break in the heat of combat and is faithful to many historical examples.
The hilt construction is typically in steel (passing the magnet test) unless otherwise noted and the grips are leather over wood. The tangs are peened over the pommel the traditional way for maximum overall strength. The fit and finish of these swords from Legacy Arms is quite impressive, and would be at twice the price! How to Use
Suitable for backyard cutting (heavy targets only) and/or as a display piece. As the blades are selectively tempered they are not designed to be flex tested (actually no sword should really be flex tested, it damages and might actually break a blade - historically swords were tested by pressing them against a solid surface to check its resilience. But NOT its flexibility. Historical Swords were NOT the same as modern sport fencing foils!)

Very, very impressed with the feel of this blade. I have wanted one of these for a long time. Most are not very accurate or made very cheap. This is not one of those copies. This is a truly awesome sword and I am very proud to add it to my collection.
