The Sword of Robert the Bruce by Windlass Steelcrafts
As seen in the film Robert the Bruce! Robert the Bruce, King of Scots, was one of the most famous warriors of his generation. Alongside William Wallace, he led Scotland during the First War of Scottish Independence against England. He fought successfully during his reign to reclaim Scotland's place as an independent nation and is remembered today as a national hero in Scotland.
This heroic sword is as powerful as the man who would have wielded it. The master craftsmen at Windlass Steelcrafts have hand-forged this blade from high carbon steel, ensuring durability and strength. The beautiful pommel is emblazoned with the Cross of St. Andrew, symbolizing Scotland's patron saint, while the hearty grip is wrapped in soft, black leather and held in place by a corded silver chain, providing both comfort and elegance.
Robert the Bruce's legacy is intertwined with Scotland's fight for freedom, and this sword captures the spirit of that struggle. Born into nobility, Robert the Bruce claimed the Scottish throne and led his people through a turbulent period of war and rebellion. His victory at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314 was a turning point in the war, securing Scotland's independence from English rule. The sword, with its massive and commanding presence, embodies the tenacity and bravery of this legendary king.
The sword comes complete with a matching, thick black leather scabbard, adorned with a silver Lion of Scotland at its throat and a rounded silver metal shoe at its tip. A 1-1/2” wide belt, measuring 56-1/2" long, is attached, ensuring that this weapon is both functional and stylish. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts, this sword arrives factory sharp, ready for display or use. This replica serves as a tribute to Robert the Bruce, offering a tangible connection to Scotland's storied past and the indomitable spirit of its people.
