One very popular optional upgrade regards the steel - you can now choose to have your sword folded around 6 or 7 times (any more than this may weaken the blade) for an additional $60. It’s purely cosmetic and does nothing except add an extremely attractive and traditional finish to the blade.

It’s purely cosmetic and does nothing except add an extremely attractive and traditional finish to the blade (natural hamon is still visible).
Because the folding is done by experienced smiths, unlike most 'damascus' blades the blades remain fully functional. Can be combined with a Kobuse or San Mai Lamination for the most traditional blade possible. As each sword is hand folded, each one will have a unique patterned appearance.

The handle is to be standard length. And Burgundy in color. The short sword must be 24inches 1 7/8 wide at the hilt and and 1 1/2 at the tip. It needs to be .25 think At the hilt and .187 at the tip. Again Burgundy in color. I want the best steel you can use.
