Inspired by nature, humans were not born with claws. But the Karambit, a South East Asian fighting knife inspired by the deadly claws of the Sumatran tiger is stronger and sharper than even nature's alpha predators..
The materials and construction are very similar to it's DEFCON cousins, the Bronze and the Black 'Raptor' Folding Karambit, though the Claw is made from D2 Tool Steel instead of the Raptors CPM S35-VN w/ Silicon Nitride Coating. But as any knife collector knows, D2 is one of the best steels for knives and as a fixed piece, it is closer to the originals (though the originals did not have 64AL4V Titanium and carbon handles with a Kydex Sheathe!)
In addition to its obvious self defense benefits, its small size makes it a great tool for fishing, farming and camping and a great choice for EDC.
