Historically speaking, swords were rarely (to the point where it was almost never) worn on the back. And while most swords are a bit too long to easily draw from the back (and pretty much impossible to resheathe) it is possible on shorter blades, and now you can try it for yourself with the Universal Backmounted sword system.
This open, nylon case will hold almost any sheathed or scabbarded sword in place on your back, secured at the front by a cross body strap and while it works best with Ko Katana, Wakizashi and Ninjato, its versatile construction allows almost any type of large blade to be backmounted as the need or whim arises. Great fun.
How to Use
Insert a sword with scabbard into the top of the wearable mounting system. Held in place by friction fit with sageo and kurigata of a Katana and the cross guard of a medieval sword.
