An earlier period Naginata favored both by warriors on the battlefield and the infamous Sohei and Wild Yamabushi mountain monks and mystics, this is not a replica of the later Edo period blades that were favored by female Samurai but a true weapon of battlefield carnage and intimidation.
This fully functional replica of the earlier period Muromachi Naginata has a double bo-hi 1045 carbon steel blade, 48.75” long wooden handle with textured ishime finish, tsuba and blade cover.

Let me start by saying glad I got one. I like naginatas, however, the shipping or packaging wasnt done properly and the tip came rounded. Lame. I was able to straighten it out mostly. Hammer time! Also while putting it together the metal fitting on the staff fell off. Reglued it, that will work for now. No idea about temper, but when put together fits pretty decently. Overall impression is a C, will go up after some work. Thanks SBG!

For the most part these are really good value for the price, but they may indeed require some TLC and adjustment.
