The New Version of the original Generation 2 FLAGSHIP sword. Amazingly well balanced and extremely attractive celebration of a proud Irish heritage in steel.
Irish hand and a half sword, a Legacy Arms/Generation 2 design, dating from around 1475 - 1525 A.D. It features a full tang construction and high carbon blade that is both flexible yet strong. The handle features a high polished steel cross guard and characteristic ring pommel with leather wrapped handle. This sword is very light and quick for it's size, balanced a mere 3.5" from the hilt and weighing in at 3lbs 8oz with distal tapering so that this 34.5" blade is almost so effortless to wield you could fence with it one handed.
A wood scabbard that is wrapped in leather with steel band at throat and steel tip is included.
It features the high quality fit and finish that has been known for all Legacy Arms/Genertion2 swords. The blade is 3/16" high carbon spring steel with a hefty full tang.
While these swords are not designed to be flex tested, they can be. As noted in his review:

I flexed tested it as far as I could without putting it over my knee - about 6"-8" from true. This made me very nervous, but the blade resisted a set in both directions. It was distal tapered with no fuller...
...Solidly built, handles great, and backed by Gen2's reputation and guarantees, this sword is a great addition to any collection. If you are interested in Irish swords and weaponry, medieval weaponry in general, or rounding out your collection with a nice looking piece, this should be considered. "
