The official replica of the Anduril sword seen in the Lord of the Rings movie series was and remains a very attractive and well made sword. However as with many official replicas, it is made from stainless steel and not actually usable as a sword, which for many collectors makes it nothing more than a pretty wall hanger..

But for less than the price of the official replica, we have teamed up with Swordier to produce a version with a proper, decently tempered 1045 carbon steel blade, giving it way more authenticity, presence and upping the cool factor when you can say 'this isn't just a decoration, this sword is actually functional' and can demonstrate cutting targets in the backyard.

ABOUT THE FLAME OF THE WEST

Anduril, also known as the Flame of the West and the Sword Reforged was the name given to the reforged Narsil sword, the blade that shattered when it cut the one ring from Saurons hand during the war of the last alliance. Passed down in pieces during the years, it eventually came to the rightful heir of Gondor, Aragon and was reforged by the Elven smiths of Rivendell into its current form and renamed with its current name, Anduril by Aragon, which means 'Flame of the West'.

The sword this design is based upon was first created for the Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings trilogy by Peter Lyons from the Weta workshop and we feel that this fully functional version is a fitting tribute.
