Medieval Type XIVa "Flower of War" Longsword: Elegance Meets Functionality
Experience the perfect blend of beauty and performance with our 65mn Spring Steel Type XIVa Longsword. This exquisite piece is not just for show; it is crafted to deliver impeccable balance and speed, making it a joy to wield.
The blade, measuring 34.65 inches, is distally profiled and tapered, ensuring precise and swift movements. Weighing exactly 3lbs and balanced close to the hilt, this sword offers enhanced maneuverability and ease of use.
Adding to its charm is the intricately patterned cross-guard and fishtail pommel, both adorned with a stunning floral theme. This design is echoed on the scabbard, which features a wood core with a polyurethane finish and detailed floral embossing.
A relatively rare blade type from the 14th century, the Type XIVa longsword was specialized for thrusting through the weak points of a fully armored knightly opponent. Who says functional swords need to be boring? This elegant and fast longsword merges the best of both worlds, offering you a piece that is as breathtaking as it is deadly.

Just received the Flower Of War. This sword out of the box is Ready for Battle, Sharp! The sword is built well solid well balanced, and light and quick. I like the cord wrap, good grip especially with gloves. Comes with belt and straps for same. Almost no cons. On the scabbard some of the pleather is loose. thats all I really found negative. Sharpness, this sword is ready out of the box. Now for backyard cutting it might need a little honing down, but for the battlefield its good, besides its going to dull quickly on the armor, flesh and bone of your enemies! This Is a nice sword and a good deal for the price!!! Over all four and a half stars. Daniel K Gordon P.S. Look for my review of the Swordier XIV upgrade. G
Our responseYes indeed, they are the sharpest out of the box medieval swords seen - well, pretty much ever. Scabbards will upgraded soon too by the way.
