The Orchid Tanto from Hanwei features a blade of folded K120C and striking koshirae. The hamon is prominent and the hada shows distinct layers. High quality ray skin (same) is used on the tsuka, and the tsuka-ito and sageo is woven from premium Japanese cotton.
The saya is deeply lacquered in blue with buffalo horn koiguchi and kurikata. The fuchi, kashira and kojiri are crafted in bronzed iron with silver and gold detailing. The habaki is of one-piece brass construction.
Functionality and Intended Use
"Battle Ready Straight Out of the Box": Fully Functional, hand sharpened Differentially Hardened Swedish Powder steel blade. Full Tang construction. Designed for frequent cutting practice.
