Kingston Arms is honored to present our first Bollocks Dagger, a treasured addition for aficionados of Scottish weaponry. As a distinguished predecessor of the Scottish Dirk, our meticulously crafted version mirrors the iconic design and essence of the daggers wielded between the 13th and 18th centuries. Revered for its storied tenure, the Bollocks Dagger served as a reliable auxiliary weapon, complementing the formidable sword and lance of Scottish warriors.
This distinctive dagger is renowned for its anatomical guard, humorously resembling the male anatomy and hence, the name "Bollocks." The guards, typically crafted as a single piece with a wooden grip made from box root (commonly known as dudgeon), earned the dagger alternative names with a touch less human flair, such as the "Dudgeon Dagger."
Our faithful reproduction captures the essence of this historical piece. It boasts a 10 ¼” blade with gleaming stainless steel guards, promising both durability and elegance. The 4” wooden grip, shaped into a hexagonal form, is crowned with a stainless steel cap, ensuring a comfortable and secure hold. The accompanying sheath is fashioned from rich leather, adorned with a stainless steel chape. Expertly stitched at the back and equipped with a belt loop, it provides both practicality and style.
The Bollocks Dagger is more than a mere weapon; it is a testament to the ingenuity and craftsmanship of a bygone era, offering collectors a tangible connection to Scotland’s proud martial heritage.
