In full disclosure I bought this sword as 16th century style two handed longsword and not because of LOTR.
So idk if it's screen accurate and all that. As an affordable and balanced two handed war sword its a good blade and my review is based on those characteristics.
The blade is sturdy well tempered spring steel, excellent at target cutting and a solid performer in the thrust. It came well sharpened and resharpens easily. It's very user friendly for a bigger sword.
The guard, pommel, and grip ring are quality stainless steel and are solid and effective.
The grip is very comfortable, silicone rubber I think. It is durable and offers an excellent grip.
The scabbard is nicely done and fits well.
The sword is beefy-not heavy, but solid and more at home on the battlefield than as a knightly companion. It has good balance and it's fun to use and handles well.
Pros:Good Value, Quality Materials at this Price Point. Very well constructed-solid, sound, and tight. Nice impressive appearance and handling.
Cons: Yellow Paint used in the recesses on the pommel and hilt cross guard to simulate gilding or brass wire. This is my only real complaint with this sword. It would look much cleaner if it was just plain steel.
Overall, I would highly recommend this sword to anyone looking for an affordable and effective two hander.
Companion blade knife is functional, and it came razor sharp. It is sound, tight, and well constructed. I have not used it for any cutting or tested it in anyway, so no comments on it beyond that.
