There Can Be Only One… And Now, It Exists.
For decades, fans of the original Highlander movie have searched in vain for a replica katana that wasn’t just a wall-hanger — but a real, usable sword worthy of the legend. Most came close in appearance. None delivered the soul. Until now.
Introducing the SBG Exclusive Screen Accurate Battle Ready Highlander Katana — a sword forged by demand, crafted by obsession, and built to honor the legacy of Connor MacLeod.
This isn’t just a replica. It’s a resurrection.
- Blade: Forged from martial arts grade T10 tool steel, differentially hardened to reveal a genuine hamon, with a full tang nakago for true functionality and durability.
- Screen Accuracy: From the faux ivory handle to the distinctive tsuba, every detail has been obsessively matched to the original prop. Even the saya features wearable leather straps, just like in the film.
- Battle Ready: Unlike the fragile replicas of the past, this katana is built to be wielded. Whether you're a practitioner, collector, or die-hard fan, this sword is ready for action.
- Unmatched Value: To commission a sword like this would cost thousands. We’ve made it accessible — without compromising a single detail.
This project has been years in the making, driven by the voices of frustrated fans who demanded more. We listened. We delivered.
But this is a limited run. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. No reissues. No compromises.
For true fans only. For those who understand. For those who believe.
There can be only one.

Arrived in time for Christmas!
Construction is rock solid. Can hear some loose particulate matter sliding around inside the tsuka during use, but my assumption is it's remnant material from shaping the ABS moving around in whatever tiny space exists between the nakago and the molded tsuka's surface. It would be physically impossible to make that airtight. It is absolutely *not* loose or rattling in a way that should cause concern, and feels very solid and tight on the swing. I'm mainly just mentioning this to calibrate expectations correctly — if you hear that same sound, it explicitly does not mean anything is wrong with the sword.
Decent fit on the saya, but the sword will slip out if held directly upside down. Again, not really an issue in normal use cases.
Handles as expected for a higher mass blade with no bo-hi, but still quite nimble and easy to control. Minimal tachi-kaze on a successful strike, which is also normal on solid-bodied blades. Did not cut any targets with it, but it felt great on full-speed strikes.
Design on the handle has some variations from the original production props, but it's damn close, and in some ways even more detailed than what you see on screen. ABS material is very "grippy," so it won't slip out of your hand even after you work up a bit of a sweat.
The blade is a marvel at this price point. Choji-style hamon is prominent and gorgeous, and mine had no flaws.
For Highlander fans, this is it, full stop: the objectively best functional replica out there, no contest.
