This katana is perfect for me. From the forging, to the assembly, at this price point, this really is unbelievable. I have owned katana before, and this one is my favorite. The blade is heavy, yet that is exactly what you want in a sword you plan on doing any cutting (tatami mats) with. The blade is perfectly straight, and the fitment in the saya (sheath) is perfect. I have drawn it many times and the fitment is still tight and has the correct amount of resistance. I am really enjoying my kata, as well as just viewing the sword. The great wave mon really hits home with me, and all of the materials are high quality, and fit tightly. The edge is sharp, as you would expect, and including a maintenance kit is extremely helpful. The hamon is clearly visible, and the length of the blade is perfect for me, (I am 5’11). I work in retail and one of the most important things about ordering big items online is being able to find a reliable vendor. This is the company you want to order from... Sara and Paul’s kindness and patience in answering my questions was both professional and personal. They made time and responded quickly and addressed all of my concerns. Deeply appreciated, a great katana from a great company...
