16th Century 5160 Spring Steel Landsknecht German Mercenary Sword. Fully Functional and Historically Plausible Replica. MSRP $389.00
During the Renaissance, the arming sword worn by the German mercenaries known as the Landsknecht was the Katzbalger. Mainly a secondary weapon, this arming sword was a last defense against adversaries. The distinctive S-shape guard and blade profiles gives this sword it's place in history.
Beautifully reproduced to specifications of Kingston Arms, the feel and balance of the Katzbalger will surprise the wielder with it's proportions. With the balance point just over two inches from the detailed stainless steel S-shaped guard, the configuration allows this weighty sword to be quick and powerful.
