Look, This thing is wonderful. Upon receiving I smacked it in a hardwood. To test the temper of the steel.
I struck it a dozen times on a tree stump. Both sides, blade, and spine. It did not break.
I do this because I had a bad experience with a Cold Steel machete in 65MN.Which was heat treated too hard.
It snapped in half from cutting this brush. No rocks, ground, fence, or any other obstruction. Just brush.
The last thing you want is a steel blade flying towards you or towards someone else.
It arrived decently sharp. But soon as I sharpened it with a honing steel. And stropped it. I was push cutting through sheets of paper.
Keep the blade oiled. And you got a nice short sword.
The scabbard is beautiful as well as the sword. I oiled the blade and put it in the sheath.
And now it sits above my bed on a sword stand.
For $29. You can't go wrong.
