Introducing the Kazekiri (Air Cutter), the follow-up to our flagship model, brought to you exclusively by Swordier in collaboration with Longquan-based sword production experts. This robust yet affordable sword is well-balanced, lightweight, and fast enough for kata and formwork, but truly excels in tameshigiri cutting. Whether it's tatami mats, rolled-up wet newspapers on bamboo, thick green bamboo, or water-filled bottles, this Katana’s broad but narrow profiled edge dramatically reduces friction, allowing it to effortlessly sail through at least four mats with a single slice, even for someone with zero training.

The blade is made from hard wearing, monotempered 65mn Spring steel and is complimented with an iron tomoe tsuba, brass fuchigashira, alternating cotton ito wrapped using hishigami traingles over real rayskin and black lacquered wooden saya with black sageo.
