Since 1943, these Kukris have been made by one government contractor, Windlass Steelcrafts. These original, official military issue Kukris are hand-forged from high carbon steel, ensuring exceptional strength and durability. Each Kukri comes with a regulation sheath, making them a must-have for outdoor activities that require chopping and cutting.
These Kukris hold great historical significance and are used in the traditional Gurkha sacred ceremony, where they behead water buffaloes with a single stroke. This ritual showcases the incredible sharpness and power of these blades. The Kukris are very scarce, with only one issued to each Gurkha Regiment in India, adding to their exclusivity and value.
The Kukri features a specially carved native hardwood handle that provides a secure and comfortable grip. The polished steel blade is a staggering 3/8" thick and more than 2-1/2 feet long, making it a formidable tool for both ceremonial and practical purposes. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts, these Kukris come factory sharp and ready for action.
