5160 Spring Steel Differentially hardened 29" Nagasa Blade with clean suguha straight hamon and decked out with premium fittings. A serious workhorse of a blade at a fraction of its value.
A grade higher than the T10 Ryujin Custom Katana - this sword has a 5160 Spring Steel blade with a long working life, as 5160 Spring Steel is designed to last longer than any other type of spring or tool steel. The steel has been differentially hardened with a prominent Suguha (straight line) clear hamon with an edge hardness of HRC 60 and spine hardness HRC 42.
To compliment the premium quality steel and the clean natural hamon, it is decked out in Kusaboke (Japanese quince, a plant with many deep meanings to the Japanese, one of which the transient nature of life itself) iron tsuba, matching iron fuchigashira set for maximum strength and style, copper habaki, and a super tight black cotton ito wrapped using hishigami - almost unheard of at this kind of price point!
Everything about this build is designed for frequent use over an extended period - in short, these are serious, practical blades that are surprisingly robust yet traditionally constructed and marked down to sell out fast.
