Last Chance on the RK Euro Line..!

Seems everything is selling out fast all over the place, but this is one deal you won’t want to miss out on if you are a fan of tough, fully functional medieval swords..

The RK Euro swords by Ronin Katana are running out of stock, Model #7 is already sold out and only limited quanties of model 8 (Viking) and model 9 (Arming) remain.

I am actually in the process of writing up a full review and test results after putting these swords through their paces with Lancelot Chan and Anthony Choi in Hong Kong, but to give you some idea – these swords performed quite well. Sharp enough to easily cut water bottles (something medieval swords struggle with) yet durable enough to cut super thick bamboo that even some high end Japanese swords struggled with, at the special introductory price they are a true bargain and not to be missed.

True enough, they may not be very historically accurate – and while they handle much better than many other sub $300 medieval swords, they are no ballerinas, the overall quality is such that there is no way we will be able to hold them at this price for much longer.

In the meantime while I work on the review, here is a video showing some of the testing we conducted.

If you read our official guide to zombie swords over at the main site, you will know that the best close quarters weapon to use against zombies is a machete. But not just any old machete. You need something like, well, something like this..

For those of you who missed Project X Japanese..

Here is the next best thing – a stripped down, economical blade made by the same team of Master Smiths and brought to you by our friends at Ronin Katana.

A Bare Blade in Soshu Kitae by the same smiths as Project X

A Bare Blade in Soshu Kitae by the same smiths as Project X

Beside the fact that they obviously don’t have the mountings as a Project X blade, the actual blades themselves are almost identical. Same elite level Soshu Kitae Lamination made by the same smiths, the only real difference is a little less time is spent on the final polish – but the difference is only truly discerable if examined with a magnifying glass. In all other respects, these are some of the very best Japanese style blades available outside of Japan – and at a fraction of the price of a modern made Nihonto with the same fittings.

Speaking of which, while the lacquered wood and buffalo horn inserts are top quality, if you wish to take it to the next level yourself, you can find a wide assortment of tsuba, plus pre-fabricated tsuka and high quality saya available on our site here – so with a little DIY skill here and there you could in theory create your very own customized Project X Katana! (of at least, pretty close!).

Great value for money, check them out here. We have around 20pcs available ex-stock and they are priced to sell, so if you missed out on Project X Japanese last time, well – this is the next best thing.
