Legacy Arms Restock

Following hot on the heels of the recent Hanwei Forge restock, Filipino sword brand Legacy Arms has also just restocked some of their rarely available, classic blade designs.

With such restocks being VERY infrequent, it could not have come at a better time – so let’s take a look at some of their best currently available items.

Excalibur Sword

A true classic with solid brass fittings, wire wrapped handle and tough 5160 Spring Steel blade, this fine replica inspired by the John Boorman movie back in the 80s, it is a fitting tribute and is rarely in stock for very long.

River Witham Sword

Highly praised for its appearance, handling and cutting ability – it is one of the best bang for your buck Viking swords around. Don’t let the price tag fool you, this really is a sword that is being sold for pennies on the dollar and is well worth a serious look.

Halfling Sword

No better a tribute could there be to the Lord of the Rings inspired ‘Sting’ sword than this faithful, fully functional replica by Legacy Arms. Rarely in stock, if you like the design don’t miss out as you can count the number of times it has been restocked since 2005 on one hand..! Still amazing value.

In addition to these three true classics, they also restocked a couple of Roman Gladii, the Riding Sword, Black Prince, Celtic Anthropomorphic and more. So check them all out while they are still available and just in time to make Christmas something very special indeed..

Hanwei Restock Just in Time for Christmas

If you haven’t completed your sword shopping for Christmas this year – you definitely need to get your order in to make sure it is delivered hassle free and on time. But if you are quick, you can also grab some last minute restocks from our friends at Hanwei.

Here are some of the swords that were recently restocked some of which have not been available for several years. Starting with:

Golden Oriole Katana

One of the original Katana designs that put Hanwei on the map way back when, the T10 tool steel blade of this classic, long handled design is as good as has ever been, and truly quite amazing value at it’s original price of just $709.99

Iga and Kouga Ninjato

Two of the most detailed, realistically styled Japanese ‘Ninjato’ swords – rarely in stock for long, snap these up while they are still on sale:

Hanwei Claymore

A solid, well built beater sword at a price that has not gone up in any significant way for over a decade lets you know this best seller is a sword you need to add to your collection while it is still available. Just amazing value and huge bang for your buck.

Godfred Viking Sword

Another Hanwei Classic that has resisted inflationary pressures to date with an attractive, functional folded blade and beautiful complimentary scabbard.

Rhinelander

This is one that disappears from stock too fast for its own good. Take a look at the sword and the price and you will know why – going, going, soon to be gone..!

Dark Sentinel

And the bargain of the century, the fantasy Katana the Dark Sentinel is still priced to rush out the door – probably one of the best buys around!

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg, there are quite a few more models that have just landed and come freshly back into stock. But with great prices and a spike in demand for last minute orders, as we often say, grab what you can while you can because the best swords will not be in stock for much longer..

New Release: Doomsday Sword # 8

The 8th release of the Doomsday Series swords designed by Jason Woodard and made by Chris Palmer in the USA is here. Introducing: the Sumerian

Based on ancient Mesopotamian mythology, Jason designed a very attractive leaf shaped shortsword as a fitting tribute:

An order was placed for the laser cut, certified 1095 carbon steel sword blank that would serve as the template for this piece:

From there, Chris shapes the handle and drills several holes that will be pegged and epoxied in place and grinds the rough edge of the blade to shape:

The blade is heated to approximately 1500 degrees, until it becomes non magnetic and then quenched in brine (salt water). The 2nd step is Heat Tempering, which consists of heating the steel to 500 degrees for 2 hours, and letting it air cool.

The tempered and heat treated blade is then fused to the Walnut wood handle with a series of 11 pins and epoxied firmly in place:

The end result?

And the best part, it’s just $269.99
