XIVa Type Medieval Longsword

The XIVa Type Medieval Longsword, inspired by the formidable Oakeshott Type XIVa swords of the 14th century, is crafted with a distal-tapered 65mn spring steel blade. This design ensures excellent balance, durability, and flexibility, capable of withstanding up to 35 lbs of flex strength. The genuine leather grip, counter-balanced by a peened pommel and stainless steel fittings, provides both comfort and control. Adding to its historical accuracy and premium feel, the sword comes with a high-quality leather scabbard, hand-stitched to perfection.

Type XIIa Great Sword of War

Equally impressive is the Type XIIa Great Sword of War, a 13th to 14th-century knightly battlefield sword. A New Era of Precision and Craftsmanship

After 6 months of rigorous testing, refinement, and three comprehensive test cycles, we are thrilled to unveil the Tameshigiri Series from Swordier.

Swordier, a Longquan-based sword supply company, caught our attention earlier this year with their clean lines, impressive tempering, and very fair pricing. We have collaborated closely with them on this and several other projects to bring you these exceptional swords.

The Tameshigiri Series features blades made from 65mn Spring Steel, 5160 Spring Steel, or T10 tool steel (for the blades with a real hamon). The end result, swords that are not only lightweight (due to the distally tapered blade) but also incredibly robust, with the Spring Steel monotempered versions offering exceptional durability. Despite their affordability, these swords do not compromise on quality or detail, making them a perfect choice for both practitioners and collectors.
